Open Air: Yirinda

From hidden lakes to ocean-scapes, Open Air is a vivid collision of music and place. Fast becoming an essential experience for locals and visitors alike, this intimate outdoor concert series features some of Australia’s most innovative musicians set against the Sunshine Coast’s spectacular natural environment.

Butchulla Songman Fred Leone and internationally acclaimed composer/multi-instrumentalist Samuel Pankhurst draw on the ancient stories of Fred’s people – blending Aboriginal language with contemporary, acoustic, and improvisatory sounds that sidestep all expectations.

Immerse yourself in a sublime mix of the ancient and the contemporary, at Baroon Pocket Dam.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

After careful consultation with the artists and suppliers for the event we have made the difficult decision to move the event indoors.

This decision was not made lightly, but, the safety for both the artists and crew was priority, and performing in the rain is not possible.

Open Air: Yirinda will now take place at the Mapleton Community Hall, 31 Obi Obi Rd, Mapleton QLD 4560.

You are welcome to bring your own drinks and snacks.
